Laura Smith '23
Laura Smith joined the Green Team at Idaho Central Credit Union in 2005. As the Vice President of Community Development, she has grown the department from a handful of team members to an impressive 40+ member team that covers the entire state of Idaho and Eastern Washington.
Laura oversees community outreach efforts, social media, nonprofit donations, and media relations. She has orchestrated many public events to increase visibility and membership for one of the best performing credit unions in the country. She lives in Pocatello, Idaho and received her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Idaho State University and graduated from Western CUNA Management School in 2023.
With Laura’s passion for improving communities and financial education, she has served on many nonprofit boards during her tenure and often participates in public speaking engagements. She enjoys building strong professional relationships in areas where ICCU has a presence. She has received several awards and honors based on her leadership and influence in the industry and looks forward to continuing to support impactful organizations.
Outside of work, Laura’s hobbies include golfing, hot yoga, volunteering, and cooking. She enjoys spending time with her two sons and her husband, Ryan. Her boys compete in travel baseball and soccer, so Laura and her family are often found traveling the region in pursuit of homeruns and goals!
