Nicole Y. Weekes

Dr. Nicole Weekes received her bachelors of art in Psychology at Boston University, and both her Ph.D. and postdoctoral fellowship in behavioral neuroscience at UCLA. She has been on the faculty at Pomona College since 1998, and is currently a professor in the department of neuroscience. Recently, Weekes was also appointed to the position of Associate Dean of Pomona College. Her research investigates individual and group differences in stress responses, focusing both on how the brain and body code stress and how they are affected by that stress once it is coded.

She has won four Pomona College Wig Awards for excellence in teaching, was named the California Professor of the Year in 2003 by the CASE-Carnegie Foundation, and is on Princeton Reviews list of the Top 300 Professors.
