Shonna Shearson is the President and CEO of First U.S. Community Credit Union in Sacramento, CA.
Shonna started her career in credit unions in 2000 as a Training Manager and has held roles such as VP of Member Service and SVP of Operations at Valley Strong Credit Union before moving into her current CEO role at First U.S.
With her start in Training and Development, she has a passion for learning as well as developing leaders. She enjoys the opportunity to learn and share information about all aspects of credit unions and financial services.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethany College in West Virginia and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Shonna graduated with High Honors from WCMS as a member of the Epsilon class in 2007 and has been a Project Reader since 2015. She serves on the Board of Directors for the WCMS Alumni Association.
