Dan has been in the credit union industry for over 19 years, starting as a teller at Potlatch No. 1 Financial Credit Union in Lewiston, Idaho. He has been involved with nearly every business unit within the credit union, from Operations, Lending, Accounting, Data Science, and Project Management. Currently serving as the Vice-President of Strategy, Dan plays a critical role in aligning all departments with communication, planning and execution of the organization’s strategic vision. His contributions extend to numerous significant projects, including Core Conversion, Consumer Loan Origination System, and the development of an Online Banking Platform. Dan has also managed several branch builds and remodels, orchestrated the launch of new credit card programs, and overseen the implementation of a Mortgage Loan Origination System. In addition, he has served on the Core Values Team which helps bridge the values gap across the organization to optimize employee engagement and employee retention.
Dan’s commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evident in his academic achievements. He graduated from the University of Idaho in 2002 with Bachelor Degrees in Accounting and Finance. He is working through a leadership and development program through P1FCU and will graduate this Fall from Eastern Washington University with his MBA. Dan has earned his CAPM certificate from Project Management Institute and is working to attain his PMP certification by the end of 2024. Dan is also a proud Honors Graduate of WCMS (The XI Class of 2016)!
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dan is not one to sit still as projects at home keep him busy. His favorite pastimes are spending time with his wife Jennifer and their three dogs. You can find them camping, riding through the mountains in their side-by-side or visiting their three grown children. They are expecting their first grandchild at the end of May 2024 to add to their family.
