Director of Campus Activities

Cory McDaniel serves as the Chief Lending Officer at University Credit Union in Los Angeles, California. Cory has been serving the credit union movement for twenty years. Cory started his credit union career at Altura Credit Union where we held various positions throughout operations and lending. Cory held lending management positions at both Altura Credit Union and Credit Union of Southern California prior to joining the executive team at University Credit Union. Cory’s passion and dedication for his teams, lending, and the member experience has helped him progress to his current position. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.

In his spare time, he enjoys all things outdoors including cycling, running and water sports. Cory also enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching his children participate in sports and his son’s passion for aviation.

Cory is married to his wife and high school sweetheart, Kimberly, and together have three children (two boys and one girl, Nathan (12), Brynn (10) and Grant (4).

Cory graduated WCMS in July of 2018 where he was a proud winner of the Froggy Cup alongside his team. Cory returned in both 2019 and 2021 as a graduate assistant. Cory is honored to be back with WCMS as the Director of Campus Activities where he looks forward to collaborating with staff and students to ensure a safe, positive and memorable campus experience.
