Mark Klinkert

Provost

Mark Klinkert, the Provost of Western CUNA Management School, serves as chief operating officer of the school. In this capacity he has executive responsibility for all phases of the school’s support services. Some of these include management oversight of admissions, registration, scholarships, budget, finance, materials and supplies, student and school records, and the school’s technology-based efforts. He also serves as liaison with the Leagues and Associations representing the thirteen states that sponsor WCMS, the American Council on Education, the WCMS Alumni Association and Pomona College.

Mark recently retired from the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues after thirty-three years serving credit unions. During his career with the Leagues, he oversaw much of the organization’s operations, including all the League’s educational products and services.  

A professional in the training and development field since 1984, Mark has designed, developed, and delivered programs in such areas as strategic planning, management and leadership development, productivity and quality management, team building, and training skills.   

Prior to his League career, Mark was employed by one of the nation’s largest banks, where he held a variety of management positions.
